Are you someone with a lived experience of recovery from mental health, drug addiction or both?
Recovery Resources (a nonprofit comprehensive mental health/behavioral health agency) is seeking a part-time Peer Support Navigator (20 hours/week). In this role, you will provide support to our clients experiencing challenges from mental health, and addiction barriers. This position will work in our forensic science departments and other areas as needed. Some of the duties you'll be responsible for include checking clients in and scheduling appointments or referrals (directed by case managers and/or clinicians); making appointment reminder calls; updating front end staff on any demographics changes; and, documenting any crisis incidents that may occur throughout the day. Most importantly, you'll work as part of the overall team to provide a safe and welcoming environment for our clients.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Good telephone etiquette
- Certified Peer Supporter Certification started within 6 months of hire.
