How You Make a Difference
The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience for individuals served. This position maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of dental equipment, adhering to all accreditation, licensing, and regulatory standards. The Dental Assistant also takes charge of coordinating the dental clinic schedule and managing supplies and equipment, keeping the clinic efficient, organized, and ready to provide top-notch care.

Key Responsibilities
- Appointment CoordinationSchedules appointments, sends notifications, and manages follow-ups for no-shows or refusals in accordance with facility procedures.
- Chair-Side AssistanceProvides chair-side assistance during procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clear operating field.
- X-Ray and Dental Lab TasksTakes dental x-rays, develops and mounts films, pours impression casts, and maintains relevant logs.
- Clinic Maintenance and SterilizationEnsures cleanliness and sanitation of the dental clinic, sterilizes instruments, performs weekly spore tests, and monitors infection control compliance.
- Inventory and Equipment ManagementOrders supplies, maintains inventory logs, and coordinates equipment repair and routine maintenance.
Education
- Required: Completion of a Dental Assistant Program.
- Preferred: Two (2) years of clinical experience.
- Required: Dental assistant certification.
