Lead with Impact as a Mental Health Technician Lead (MHT)!
Are you a natural leader with a passion for supporting mental health care? As a Mental Health Technician Lead (MHT), you’ll take on a vital role as the lead worker of a shift, guiding and mentoring MHTs while helping them provide exceptional care to individuals served. You’ll be instrumental in training staff, assisting with program delivery, and ensuring that the overall care plan aligns with the facility’s standards, policies, and procedures.
In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you’ll be an active member of the treatment team, maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for those in your care. Your contributions will help foster healing and growth while ensuring the safety and well-being of the living unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Worker Duties
Performs lead worker duties, overseeing MHTs in the assigned building, reporting status to shift leaders, and ensuring all assignments are covered and completed on time.Oversight of Daily Responsibilities
Oversees daily responsibilities of MHTs, ensuring log entries are completed accurately and all tasks are carried out as required.Safety and Sanitation
Conducts safety and sanitation reviews by the end of each shift, ensuring proper hygiene and facility cleanliness are maintained.Coaching and Mentoring
Coaches, mentors, and provides orientation to new MHTs, ensuring they are well-prepared for their responsibilities.Facility and Individual Care Management
Ensures individual rooms are searched for contraband, and that all common areas, including laundry, are kept clean and organized according to Environment of Care standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Bachelors' degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field.
Experience:
- Preferred: Three (3) years of direct care experience in a mental health setting.
- Preferred: Healthcare, mental health or human services experience.
