Position Summary
The SUDS Clinical Program Manager is a management and leadership position that oversees SUDS operations and programming including Outpatient SUDS and DUII services. The SUDS Clinical Manager provides program-related leadership by acting as the operational and service-leader. This position will typically carry a small caseload with client contact including assessments, individual, and group counseling services. The Program Manager is also responsible for the quality of the services provided, for maintaining strong relationships in the community, and for the operational health of the program. The Program Manager reports directly to the Director of Clinical Services & Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Acts as the clinical program leader designated to support and make daily operational decisions related to programming and service delivery.
- Works closely with the Director of Clinical Services to identify opportunities to provide innovative and high-quality services to the community.
- Ensures Recovery Works NW services are maintained according to OHA, 42CFR Pt II, Medicaid, contractual, and other established service agreements.
- Ensures that proper policies and procedures that protect the health, safety, and confidentiality of clients are developed and implemented.
- Coordinates coverage and provides direct clinical services as is necessary for the efficient functioning of the program.
- Ensures productivity of clinical staff meets minimum 65% direct services provided/billable.
- Provides or make available on-going training for counseling staff in collaboration with Clinical Supervisor and Peer Services manager.
- Attends and participates in group supervision, all-staff meetings, and other meetings, as needed.
- Fosters an environment of teamwork and resolves issues through effective leadership.
- Actively improves the quality of the programs through participation in the Quality Management process.
- Tracks expenses and revenues, ensuring resources for the program and the efficient use of those resources for furthering the mission of the agency.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Social Work or Addiction Studies or closely related field required.
- CADCII and/or NCACII required.
- Demonstrated history of clinical quality assurance and compliance experience, program leadership and staff management required.
- Experience training staff and leadership in compliance, policy and practice areas related to service delivery, required.
- Demonstrated experience with harm-reduction services, required.
- Demonstrated experience or knowledge of clinical and behavioral health service delivery systems and significance, required.
- Personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and acceptable driving record in accordance with Recovery Works NW auto liability policy requirements
- Excellent communication, trauma-informed approach and conflict resolution skills
- Experience with crisis prevention and intervention.
- Ability to always maintain high professional standards with participants, staff, and community partners.
- Well-developed documentation skills and a strong commitment to quality management; ability to write accurate and concise reports while meeting tight deadlines.
- Proficient computer skills; agility and expertise with Microsoft programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a behavioral health and/or healthcare management field
- CADCIII or MAC
