Payroll-Accounts Payable Specialist

Recovia is seeking a full-time Payroll-Accounts Payable Specialist. We are a successful intensive outpatient treatment program that provides chronic pain, mental health, and substance use treatment all under one roof. Hours: Monday - Friday, Full-time, 8 AM - 5 PM (hours can be flexible, will be discussed in further interview steps).
Location: In-person, Recovia - Midtown: 337 E. Coronado Road #201, Phoenix, AZ 85004 – After successful completion of the 90 day probationary period – potential to work a hybrid schedule (M/W/F in office, T/TH work from home)
Pay range: $50,000 - $65,000/year (Based on experience and expectation combined). Pay will be discussed in further interview steps.
JOB SUMMARY
Performs a wide range of payroll and accounting duties to include processing bi-weekly payroll and collecting data, entering accounts payable invoices. Job also includes special projects from time to time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage workflow and questions to/from supervisors to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports on a biweekly basis
- Accounts Payable entry into QuickBooks (QBO) and/or Bill.com for payment approval, including vendor setup/issue resolution and completing periodic journal entries in QBO
- Monthly bank and credit card reconciliation, including categorization of transactions to appropriate account in Recovia Chart of Accounts
- Assist with accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-3c, 1099’s, etc.)
- Additionally responsible for monthly data collection, tabulation, and reporting
- Other administrative duties that may arise from time to time
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- AA or Bachelors’ degree preferred or 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience and Ability to work effectively with various systems, such as Paycom, Quickbooks, Excel, and Bill.com.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
