role of primary therapist at our growing organization. This candidate should be caring and
empathetic provider that possesses the qualities of self-motivation, organizational skills and the
ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. This role involves
assessing patients utilizing evidence-based tools, developing treatment plans, and offering
therapeutic interventions. In collaboration with treatment team staff, the Primary Therapist
ensures quality of care provided to clients in partial care and intensive outpatient settings,

Responsibilities
Group Facilitation
Individual Counseling
Crisis Intervention/Verbal De-escalation
Documentation/Scheduling
Open communication with facility staff, attending clinicians, physicians, clients, and families
Liaison with community agencies, vendors, and payers of health services
Gather comprehensive diagnostic information through psychosocial assessment interview
Develop an Integrated Summary, bringing together information from all assessments to identify
problem areas that may affect treatment and/or need to be addressed in treatment planning
Develop a comprehensive treatment plan that reflects client’s individual issues as described in
the assessments and Integrated Summary
Present psychosocial and diagnostic information to treatment team in a clear, concise manner
Requirements:
Master’s degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or related human
services field
Current license as an LPC, LSW, LMFT or LCSW in the state of New Jersey
Minimum Of One Year Of Experience In Addiction Counseling
Knowledge of ethics and professional standards
Knowledge of evidence-based practices
Understanding of substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders
Knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality, and privacy practices
