SUPERVISOR: Executive Director
POSITION SUMMARY
The Sail & Swim Director is responsible for all aspects of North Coast Community Sailing (NCCS) operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to supervise activities of other people, give directions, and enforce RFR policies.
- Current American Red Cross CPR/AED/FA for Professional Rescuer (or approved equivalent or higher).
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification (or approved equivalent).
- US Sailing Small Boat Instructor Level 1 or higher (or approved equivalent).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and oversee all aspects of North Coast Community Sailing
- Ensure waterfront safety, including developing and implementing Emergency Action Plans; training staff; managing safety and rescue supplies and equipment; responding to situations as they arise; and completing all required documentation.
- Supervise North Coast Staff Team, including hiring, training, and development.
- Plan and run annual pre-season staff training and ongoing development sessions.
- Implement and manage all NCCS, including curriculum development.
- Develop additional avenues of support.
- Assist in ensuring safety for NCCS including following Emergency Action Plans, responding to situations as they arise; and completing all required documentation.
- Document and report incidents, injuries, complaints, broken equipment, etc as necessary in accordance with RFR policies and procedures.
- Abide by and uphold all RFR policies and procedures.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with Supervisor.
- Provide excellent customer service and a safe and fun environment.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB STRUCTURE AND COMPENSATION
- During the sailing season, the majority of hours will be spent at the waterfront, though this may vary given organizational needs and priorities.
- Membership to the Bayfield Rec Center
- Half off of all RFR classes and programs
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
