Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly experienced Server Infrastructure Architect with over 10 years of expertise in designing, deploying, and managing robust server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge in storage solutions, backup systems, and leading technologies such as NetApp, Commvault, and other backup / storage tools. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving the architecture and strategy of our server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across our enterprise systems.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable and highly available server infrastructure solutions, ensuring they align with business needs and IT strategies.
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of server hardware, operating systems, and associated storage solutions, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
- Expertise in NetApp, Commvault, and other backup storage solutions. Design and implement data protection, disaster recovery, and backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Experience in Disaster Recovery planning / strategy
- Continuously monitor, assess, and improve server and storage performance through capacity planning, load balancing, and fault tolerance strategies.
- Implement automation to streamline server infrastructure processes using tools such as PowerShell, Python, or other relevant scripting languages.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including network, security, and application teams to integrate server infrastructure with other IT systems and business applications.
- Ensure infrastructure solutions comply with relevant industry standards and security protocols, and adhere to best practices for data protection and disaster recovery.
- Maintain thorough documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and disaster recovery plans. Regularly report on infrastructure health, improvements, and risk mitigation efforts.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and administrators, fostering skill development and best practices across the team.
Qualifications :
Certifications : Relevant certifications such as NetApp Certified Storage Administrator, Commvault Certified, VMware certifications, or others are highly desirable.
This position is based in Houston with going on-site 1 day a week so candidate must be local to Houston and willing to go on site. Not open to C2C / Visa candidates.
