Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer / Network Architect to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network solutions. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies, including Cisco Meraki, to ensure high availability, security, and scalability of network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture, security best practices, and hands-on experience with enterprise-level networking solutions, including Zero Trust and MacOS networking. Additionally, this role will require experience in office build-outs and designing physical network architecture to support new and existing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise network architectures, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud-based solutions.
• Deploy and manage Cisco Meraki solutions for SD-WAN, security, and wireless networks.
• Develop and enforce network security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices, including Zero Trust security models.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT security, cloud architects, and application teams, to design and implement network solutions.
• Lead office build-outs, including planning and designing physical network architecture, cabling, and hardware installations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and solutions to improve efficiency and security.
• Support network automation and scripting efforts to improve operational efficiency.
• Design and manage MacOS networking environments, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise network infrastructure.
• Participate in on-call support rotations and assist in incident response as needed.
• Travel up to 20% for site assessments, deployments, and conferences.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8 years of experience in network engineering and architecture.
• Expertise in designing and managing Cisco Meraki solutions, including MX, MR, and MS series.
• Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust security principles.
• Proficiency in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP).
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Familiarity with MacOS networking environments and best practices.
• Experience with office build-outs and designing physical network architecture.
• Familiarity with network automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Meraki CMSS, or equivalent preferred.
