Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Finance Leader to join their plant leadership team. This role will serve as a strategic business partner to the Plant Manager and play a key role in driving financial performance, operational excellence, and business transformation on-site.
Starting Pay: $140,000
Experience Required: 5–10 years in finance, with a strong background in manufacturing environments
Work Model: On-site, based in Hampton, VA
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead financial advisor to the Plant Manager and a conduit to the Business Unit
- Oversee finance functions, including cost accounting, forecasting, and month-end close
- Direct the operation of Procurement, Accounting, and Information Systems at the facility
- Lead the identification and execution of business improvement initiatives
- Align plant performance measures with strategic goals (quality, productivity, cycle time, inventory optimization, profitability)
- Ensure compliance with internal financial reporting requirements and Sarbanes-Oxley controls
- Manage the capital appropriation process and conduct post-project financial reviews
- Supervise and develop finance department staff

Requirements:
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in finance, specifically within a manufacturing plant
- Expertise in standard cost accounting and month-end close
- Deep understanding of operational metrics and financial performance drivers
- Prior experience with capital planning and internal controls
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred but not required)
