Recruit Secure is collaborating with a very large (400 beds) and highly rated Skilled Nursing Home in the Brooklyn, NY area that is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and caring Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - Nurse Educator. The ADON - Nurse Educator will be responsible for the day-to-day nursing activities and maintaining quality of care throughout the entire facility. Additionally, the ADON will be responsible for the orientation program for the facility and will mentor, develop, plan, and implement a variety of educational programs for the nursing staff. The ADON is an important part of the Nursing and Quality Administrative team and participates in monitoring performance and outcomes, gathering data for assessments, and contributing to enhancements to QAPI and other clinical, staff, and patient initiatives.

The successful candidate will have supervisory experience in Skilled Nursing Homes, be familiar with planning and directing educational and on-the-job training programs, and have great communication skills to interact with physicians, families, and the nursing staff. Requirements :
- BRN degree preferred but not mandatory
- Current NY-RN License – a must
- Experience (at least 2 -3 years) working as a Supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Home is a must
- Ability to plan, develop, direct, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs
- Experience coordinating and implementing staff Orientation programs
- Knowledgeable with State and Federal regulations and compliance guidelines
- Experience developing, fostering, and mentoring nursing personnel and collaborative teams
