Director Of Nursing - Skilled Nursing Home - OH

Overview:

Recruit Secure is collaborating with a beautiful and established Skilled Nursing Facility located in the Zanesville, OH, area that is looking for an experienced and exceptional Director of Nursing (DON) to join their team. The Director will be responsible for maintaining quality of care throughout the entire facility (about 100 beds) and managing, training, and motivating the nursing staff. The ideal candidate for this position must have previous experience in a nursing leadership position, a strong ability to work with and develop clinical teams, and an in-depth knowledge of rules and regulations governing the healthcare industry.  Additionally, the DON will have oversight and setting of the Standards of Care, Safety, and Risk Management.  The facility is supported by management, and the staff has a long tenure and is team-oriented and congenial.  There are numerous Employee Appreciation events.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of all facility departments and services and ensure that compliance is ongoing
• Ensure Dept. of Health survey readiness
• Leadership and direct supervision of all staff, including recruitment and hiring
• Ensure delivery of a high level of care to residents
• Seek continuous quality improvement
• Develop and implement policies and procedures as needed
• Resolve any issues in a positive, proactive manner

Requirements:

• BRN degree, preferred but not mandatory
• Active RN OH State license
• At least 2-3 years of experience working as a Director or Assistant Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Home
• Experience in hiring, developing, and fostering collaborative teams
• Experience in preparing for DOH Surveys
• Experience leading interdepartmental and QAPI meetings
• Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills
• Strong problem resolution skills
• Ensuring regulatory compliance
