Recruit Secure is collaborating with a for-profit Healthcare organization that is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and caring RN Nurse Practitioner (N-P) with expertise in Wound Care for direct hire. The company provides Nurse- Practitioners to Skilled Nursing homes in Alabama to work with the facilities' nursing team to improve quality care and reduce re-hospitalizations. This position can be part-time (2 days) or full-time, working at a skilled facility in the Huntsville, AL area (other areas are also available). Scheduling is flexible.
The ideal candidate will be a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with experience assessing, evaluating, and documenting skin and wound conditions and an in-depth knowledge of treatment protocols and has worked in a Skilled Nursing Home or long-term facility
The N-P will report to the Regional Clinical Director of the company and work closely with the Medical Director and Director of Nursing at the facility.
Some Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine check-ups and examinations to assess skin and wound conditions
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions and develop plans of care
- Implementing orders and treatments
- Evaluating the progress of specialized skin and wound conditions
- Evaluate new admissions
- Document status and care plans and monitor changes
- Notify the House physician and family of changes
- Provide Wound Care education to nursing staff
- Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients
Requirements:
- Current AL State RN license
- AL Licensed Nurse Practitioner
- At least 2 years’ experience in the care and treatment of wounds
- In-depth understanding of Wound Care protocols and treatments
- Ability to train Nursing teams on policies and protocols for the prevention and care of wounds
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Homes is a plus but not mandatory
- Basic Computer skills and experience with EMR software
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with Nursing teams
