Recruit Secure is collaborating with a very large and beautiful Skilled Nursing Home (500 beds) in Brooklyn, NY that is seeking an experienced and caring, multilingual (Mandarin/English) RN Unit Manager for direct hire. The Unit Manager will be responsible for directing the nursing staff and overall operations of the assigned Nursing Unit. Additionally, the Unit Manager supports the Director of Nursing in achieving a high level of patient care and supports the patients, families, and staff. The successful candidate will have experience as an RN in a Skilled Nursing Home and has successfully supervised and mentored nursing staff. Responsibilities:- The Unit Manager handles all supervisory duties for the unit.
- Help establish and implement employee policies and procedures.
- Mentor less experienced nurses, offering clinical & career advice.
- Maintain the standards of care for the unit.
- Review of Resident records & quality of care.
- Monitor overall care & review individual Residents’ cases
- Address questions or complaints brought forward by Residents or their families.
Requirements:
- Bilingual Mandarin/English
- Must hold valid NY State RN License
- 3 years of Long-Term Care Experience preferred
- 2 years Charge Nurse experience preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
