The Office Bookkeeping Assistant provides financial and administrative support to the Office Manager/Legal Administrator at a well-established law firm in New Orleans’ Central Business District.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and receipts, reconcile bank statements, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and billing in line with firm policies.
- Coordinate communications with vendors and maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.
- Support scheduling, document preparation, and routine reporting as directed by the Legal Administrator.
- Participate in month-end and year-end financial close activities, which may occasionally require extended hours.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Proficiency with Peachtree, Quicken a huge plus - experience in Microsoft Excel for financial data entry and reporting a must!
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior administrative or bookkeeping experience, preferably within a legal or professional-services environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced office setting.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
