Position Overview
The Marketing Event Specialist will play a key role in driving the marketing strategy and execution of events for our client's range of medical and life sciences devices. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams to enhance brand visibility, generate leads, and drive engagement at trade shows, symposiums, webinars, and other marketing activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for organizing impactful events and a strong ability to collaborate across teams to support broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Initiatives
Coordinate digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, PPC, and social media, to increase online visibility and drive traffic to product pages.
Assist in executing multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, social media, email, and print) to support product awareness and lead generation.
Update and manage marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers, presentations, digital ads, and promotional materials.
Support content creation, messaging, and copywriting for the website, blogs, social media posts, and email newsletters.
Analyze marketing metrics and KPIs to evaluate campaign performance and generate reports (e.g., trailing 12-month reports).
Collaborate with sales, product management, and design teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and contribute fresh ideas to the marketing team.
Sales Operations
Maintain CRM records for leads and distributors, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Perform lead assignment and routing activities in the CRM, supporting the nurturing of leads and contacts.
Assist in mass mail campaigns and provide support for distributor marketing and sales activities.
Manage translations for sales collateral and materials, as well as provide transcripts of webinars and presentations as needed.
Event Management
Coordinate the logistics for events, trade shows, webinars, and symposiums, including booth setup, attendee engagement, and logistical support.
Plan and execute event marketing strategies (mass mail campaigns, landing pages, key messaging, etc.) to maximize event impact.
Evaluate event recommendations and secure approvals for booth sizes, sponsorship levels, and event participation.
Oversee event registration logistics and manage internal communications around events.
Ensure timely shipping of materials and coordinate with logistics for on-time equipment delivery.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop new materials such as brochures, videos, booth properties, giveaways, and presentations.
Maintain the event budget and manage invoices associated with event activities.
Coordinate hotel registrations for event room blocks and handle on-site management of large events such as ASTRO (American Society for Radiation Oncology).
Enter event leads into the CRM, ensuring proper lead status and follow-up communication.
Post-event analysis to assess performance, identify improvements, and plan for future events.
Assistant to CEO
Support the CEO with the development of reports, presentations, and correspondence for board meetings and external engagements.
Coordinate internal meetings and workgroups to support the CEO and advance our client's commercial interests.
Oversee special projects and tactical initiatives to enhance the CEO’s ability to lead the company.
Handle confidential issues and concerns addressed to the CEO, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
3 years of experience in marketing, event coordination, or a related field, preferably within the medical device or life sciences industries.
Proficiency in CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and digital marketing platforms.
Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in budgeting and managing event-related expenses.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders.
Willingness to travel to events as needed.
