Territory Manager – Outside Sales HVAC

We are seeking a strong territory manager to join our growing dynamic team for the Northern Virginia, DC geographies.
Job Summary :
The Territory Manager / Outside Salesperson will be responsible for increasing sales and company profits by cultivating relationships with current customers and attracting new clients. This role involves promoting products, providing support, and conducting training for both new and returning customers within the assigned territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepare and conduct sales presentations of products to new and existing customers
- Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products
- Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
- Maintain and improve customer relationships and satisfaction
- Visit job sites as needed to measure or provide client services
- Gather competitive information and other market information regularly while interacting cooperatively with other members of the distribution team
- Prepare and present quotations
- Participate with management in updating territory plan and set sales goals
- Determine sales potential for new and existing customers through inquiry, observation or periodical research
- Increase business and account base by finding and qualifying new business accounts using sales techniques to cross sell and up-sell
- Negotiate and establish pricing and terms according to company’s requirements for customer and transaction profitability
- Communicate to the purchasing department unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products
- Evaluate opportunities to utilize the company’s “Touch Program.” This is a valuable tool to provide your customers with various entertainment activities that separates us from our competitors
- Participate and be active in local industry organizations
