Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain machinery and equipment related to milk intake, cheddar production, and sweet whey by-products.
- Troubleshoot and service systems involving pneumatics, pumps, and fluid mechanics.
- Work collaboratively with specialized teams handling HVAC and controls for the facility.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent downtime and optimize production efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and union standards.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and participate in shift huddles to maintain smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in a dairy production or food manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of pneumatics, fluid dynamics, and pump systems.
- Ability to work in a unionized environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Experience with liquid systems and food safety protocols is a plus.
- Minimum 6 months of industrial maintenance experience or education; 1 years with electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyors, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work in varying environmental conditions.
- Willingness to work across shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
