As they continue to grow, they are looking for a Safety/Sanitation Supervisor to lead the implementation and oversight of safety, health, and environmental programs within the facility. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, promotes a culture of safety, and manages sanitation programs to maintain high facility standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing safety and sanitation, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive compliance and continuous improvement.
What YOU get to DO in this high-profile position:
- Design, develop, and implement facility safety, health, and environmental programs to safeguard employees and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct safety and environmental audits and validations of buildings, tools, and equipment to maintain high safety standards.
- Determine and provide safety training to employees in accordance with company EH&S standards, focusing on compliance, risk reduction
- Perform ergonomics assessments and implement corrective actions to reduce workplace injuries.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with ISN contractor safety management and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Lead and own various safety program elements, including training, contractor safety, hot work, and emergency response procedures.
- Investigate accidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures to promote a safety-conscious work environment.
- Manage the facility sanitation program, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards and coordinating regulatory inspections and preventative maintenance.
What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 2 years of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills, adaptable for various levels within the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced work environment.
- Willingness to work off-shift hours, weekends, or holidays as needed, with occasional travel (less than 10% per year).
