What YOU get to DO at this growing company:
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for multiple properties, including variance analysis against budgeted amounts.
Review monthly financial statements prepared by property accountants to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Supervise and support property accountants, providing guidance on best practices and financial procedures.
Ensure proper revenue recognition, accrued expenses, and maintenance of supporting schedules to financial statements.
Prepare and reconcile monthly journal entries to the General Ledger and ensure proper documentation.
Reconcile bank statements and prepare reports necessary for internal and external audits.
Calculate and review management fees for third-party contracts and ensure compliance with financial agreements.
Assist in preparing quarterly debt compliance reports and participate in Property Operations meetings.
What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Prior experience in real estate accounting or property management accounting is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel and Outlook; experience with MRI software is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly.
CPA certification is preferred but not required.
