Our client, a specialist alternative investment fund administrator, is currently looking for VP, Anti- Money Laundering Investor Services, you will play a key role in managing and driving the success of our Investor Services team.
This position offers a unique opportunity to build upon your expertise in the funds industry while working closely with the Executive Director to ensure that our operations align with regulatory requirements and company objectives. Your contributions will support the development and maintenance of robust Anti-Money Laundering (AML) practices and enhance client relationships within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary escalation point for AML-related inquiries and issues.
- Collaborate with the Compliance department to draft, review, and maintain operational procedures, policies, and processes, ensuring timely updates to AML systems.
- Ensure all AML procedures and protocols are adhered to, as outlined in the company’s Anti-Money Laundering manual.
- Manage the Investor Services team, overseeing training and professional development initiatives.
- Cultivate and sustain client confidence in the company's vision, strategy, and value proposition.
- Ensure AML compliance for investor transactions across various investor types and jurisdictions.
- Conduct regular AML reviews and audits to meet company and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor the status of AML records, ensuring timely and accurate updates to ensure investor compliance.
- Participate in special projects, including process improvements, quality control initiatives, and remediation projects for non-compliant investors.
- Assist with new client onboarding by providing guidance on Customer Due Diligence (CDD) requirements for diverse investor types in different jurisdictions.
- Apply FATCA/CRS classifications and ensure compliance with all related regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Investor Services role, preferably within a Hedge Fund Administration environment.
- At least 4 years of managerial experience
- Familiarity with HWM Mantra or similar AML systems is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of AML regulations, FATCA/CRS, and CDD requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships with both internal teams and clients.
- Ability to manage complex projects and demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Investran and Mantra is a plus
