We are looking to add an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Real Estate team in our Orange County (Irvine) office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced commercial litigation environment, providing litigation assistance and secretarial support. This role requires supporting attorneys with both litigation and transactional practices, so prior experience with similar responsibilities is essential.
Breakdown of the job : Transactional - 40% / Litigation - 60%
Responsibilities :
- Formatting briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents, including loan documents and agreements.
- Managing discovery and interfacing with Court clerks.
- E-filing legal documents and ensuring timely submission.
- Calendaring deadlines, hearings, and appointments.
- Entering attorney time and billing efficiently and accurately.
- Drafting and submitting correspondence to clients and partners.
- Coordinating expense reports and maintaining detailed records.
- Communicating effectively with clients, partners, and attorneys with varying work styles.
