Meta's People Risk, Privacy, Compliance (PRPC) team is seeking a skilled People Data Review Program Manager to oversee risk initiatives and scale the global program. In this role, you will lead efforts to assess employment and privacy risks in new and novel use cases affecting People Data. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in risk management, a systems-thinking approach, and experience in leading highly complex, matrixed initiatives within an organization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key Legal, Privacy, and HR business programs and product owners to define program requirements, set priorities, and establish scope, including defining the roadmap and long-term strategy for the teams and respective leadership.
- Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes, optimizing scope, schedule, and resources as needed.
- Develop and execute communication plans, proactively reporting program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
- Drive internal and external process improvements across teams, reducing manual efforts and increasing efficiency through automation.
- Identify potential bottlenecks, manage escalations, and ensure that HR compliance standards are met.
- Utilize strong people skills and demonstrate a bias toward action as a team player.
- Address complex HR risk issues within an operational environment and provide creative solutions.
- Define and track key metrics, quality indicators, and performance benchmarks for program deliverables, ensuring cross-functional execution.
- Proven risk management or compliance expertise, with experience in second-line defense risk management or internal audit, particularly within a tech company.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing risk assessment programs impacting security, privacy, and employment compliance from the ground up.
- Product experience with internal proprietary tools and process instrumentation.
- Solid understanding of or willingness to quickly learn employment laws, regulations, industry guidance, and company compliance policies.
- Strong data analysis skills, attention to detail, and creativity in problem-solving.
- Experience in managing relationships with both engineering teams and legal partners, fostering open and trusting communication.
- Expertise in HR risk management, privacy, and compliance space, with a focus on employment compliance.
- Strong background in data analytics with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (preferred) and familiarity with SQL to support programmatic tasks and data analysis.
- Proven experience in addressing complex privacy issues and providing data-driven insights for business decision-making.
- Familiarity with Meta's systems, processes, and culture.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams and demonstrated strong communication skills.
- Exposure to AI technologies, including AI development, implementation, and related problem-solving and analysis.
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Risk Management, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CIPM or CIPP are highly beneficial.
