Our client is looking for its Founding Backend / Data Engineer ! You will be one of the first full-time employees working closely with the Founder to build a mobile-first generative AI social networking application.
They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Founding Backend / Data Engineer! You will have the pivotal responsibility of crafting our technical infrastructure, with the current MVP. Your work will involve designing and implementing scalable backend systems and data architectures that seamlessly interact with their iOS frontend. Your insights from the data will guide the app's enhancements and future development.
As a Founding team member, you will be setting the direction for the product from the ground up and play a crucial role in the success of this venture. This role will entail working in the NYC office with the Founder approximately 4 times a week.
Requirements :
- 5 years of experience in backend development, with strong proficiency in either Python or Node.JS.
- Experience in a scrappy, fast-paced company (ideally founding experience).
- Experience building distributed systems using GCP and AWS, NoSQL databases, PubSub, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Demonstrated experience in building RESTful and / or GraphQL APIs.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (algorithms and data structures).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a top university.
