What You Will Do

As the founding Machine Learning Engineer for their new intelligence layer, you'll help build comprehensive solutions from the ground up that will have a step-function impact for their customers. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of AI-powered features that will transform how companies leverage customer data for messaging and engagement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing personalization and product recommendation systems that help companies deliver the most relevant content to each user
• Creating frameworks for automated experimentation to help clients intelligently navigate messaging options
• Building predictive audience models to identify users most likely to convert, churn, or take desired actions
• Implementing content generation capabilities leveraging recent advances in LLMs to help marketers create compelling text, images, and creatives
• Designing budget optimization tools to help companies assess marketing spend effectiveness and identify where marginal customer acquisition costs are lowest
• Conducting customer research to understand pain points and define machine learning solutions
• Building robust machine learning infrastructure to support these new capabilities
• Partnering directly with customers to implement and refine solutions

Ideal Candidate Background

• 4 years of experience in machine learning and software engineering
• Strong track record building 0-to-1 products leveraging machine learning
• Experience developing recommendation systems and marketing-oriented features
• Demonstrated ability in both machine learning modeling and backend engineering
• Experience with backend infrastructure and distributed systems
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong product intuition and customer-centric approach

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and deploying products using LLMs
• Track record of seeing companies through periods of significant growth
• Strong career progression demonstrating increasing responsibility and technical depth
• Background in data activation, customer data platforms, or marketing technology
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
