Job Summary:
The Merchandiser supports the Sr. Director, Merchandising, as well as the entire Merchandising team in managing daily needs of the business, specifically those needs pertaining to Blouses, Dresses, Skirts, and Pants.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Woven Blouses, Dresses, Skirts and Pant categories for all fits including Extended Sizes
- Partner with Sr. Director of Merchandising to create seasonal line plans for Blouses, Dresses, Skirts, Pants.
- Create shell of seasonal Brief/Merchandising Style Plan including China Retail feedback and global selling data, accounting sales feedback
- Create the shell of Core Fabric Line plans (all Fabric Classes) including Carryover and RP
- DeSL and BC Systems co-owner – Maintain all system updates, memos and line sheets
- Facilitate prep work for key meetings like Pre-Costing, Pricing, Line Opening, and Sales Immersion and other key meetings.
- Present in Seasonal Market Meetings to executive teams – Pricing and Sales Immersion
- Analyze sales to identify opportunity strengths and weaknesses for stronger planning retail results.
- Competitive Price and Assortment analysis - Compile industry trend research and pricing matrix
- Compile seasonal selling metrics by fabric and class.
- Attend seasonal design sketch and proto meetings
- Partner, collaborate, and respond daily with cross functional teams on sample requests, costings, and sales requests.
- Create and maintain seasonal market projection tool.
- RP/Carryover Sample Coordinator/Tracker – liaison with sample department and stylist
- Manage other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Desired Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree
Experience:
- 5 Years in Merchandising or Merchandising/Buying
- Luxury apparel experience a plus
Skills:

- DeSL, Blue Cherry and Smartsheet experience a plus
- Extensive experience in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word, Power Point and Sky Pad
- Strong prioritization skills, sense of urgency and multi-tasking ability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation ability and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent follow up and attention to detail skills.
- Self-starter and an entrepreneurial spirit desired
Base Pay Range:
- The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $73,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, and location.
