Real Estate Development Intern
Classification: Full-time/Part-time, Internship, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Flexible hours to accommodate school schedules, with a preference for availability five days per week
Duration: Semester-by-semester (immediate start with strong preference for summer continuation)
Compensation: $15-17 per hour

Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated BYU junior (or advanced sophomore) to join our development team as an intern. The intern will work across both new potential projects and current existing projects, gaining exposure to all facets of real estate development. This will include due diligence, market research, project management, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reconcile proposals and bids for various scopes of work.
- Conduct market research activities, including driving to properties, secret shopping, and making phone calls to gather competitive data.

Assist in mapping out city approval processes.

Solicit proposals for various professional services.

Participate in completing due diligence checklists as needed.
- Review soils/geotechnical reports, surveys, environmental reports, title reports, and other real estate due diligence.

Prepare and compile presentations for lenders, investors, and the Investment Committee.

Assist in the creation of written reports and project documentation.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Construction/Facilities Management, Business, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- Experience and interest in finance with an emphasis on real estate

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Willingness to work on-site at our Provo headquarters.
