ELECTRONIC DESIGN ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION
Peaktronics is a small, well-established, leading US manufacturer of industrial mechatronic controls, located in the greater Detroit area, looking to grow due to market demand. We have a reputation for high-quality products that are sold worldwide.
We are seeking the best and brightest Electronic Design Engineer with 10-15 years of experience in embedded 8-bit microcontroller and analog circuit design.

Education
Formal education in electronics or a degree in electrical engineering are beneficial, but not a requirement.
Job Requirements
· Knowledge of software and hardware used to support Microchip PIC 8-bit microcontrollers in a development, prototype, and manufacturing environment.
· Software requirements include understanding of assembler, but proficient in “C” code for PIC 8-bit microcontrollers.
· Hardware requirements include the design of analog circuits with the verification of environmental and longevity considerations.
· Product responsibilities would include new product alignment with existing products, practical and cost feasibility studies leading to electrical specifications required for product literature.
Desired Experience
· Experience with industrial analog signals and industrial communication protocols.
· Experience with PLC I/O interfaces, ladder logic and PID control loops.
· Experience with AC and DC motor control driver circuits.
· Effective communication skills
· Excellent problem-solving skills
