The Quality Assurance Tester is a technical position that supports the development and maintenance of RCMS applications and solutions. The purpose of this position is to support the organizational goals of RCMS by efficiently and effectively fulfilling the responsibilities of a Quality Assurance Tester.
A Quality Assurance Tester will help define, review, and implement software testing plans in support of various business requirements. Testing is the primary function of this role. This includes testing and analyzing web applications and APIs. The Quality Assurance Tester will also assist with research and documentation of software specifications throughout the production lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities :
All tasks related to this position are to be done in a manner consistent with RCMS policies, procedures, quality standards, customer needs and applicable local, state and federal regulations.
Execute test cases under varying circumstances
Document and evaluate test results
Detects, logs and reports application bugs and glitches
Tracks defects and helps troubleshoot errors
Reviews test procedures and develops testing scripts
Partner with software engineers to drive QA efforts
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge and Skills :
Proficient in test management software
Experience in Agile frameworks
Able to communicate effectively with non-technical end users
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Familiar with Agile / Scrum methodologies
Advanced knowledge of programming languages including .Net (4.5, 8), JavaScript, ReactJS, Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP) C#
Experience with Source Control Frameworks (GIT)
Proficiency in MS SQL Server including Stored Procedures, Views, Functions
Expertise in React framework, asynchronous processing, MVC (Model View Controller), and Service-Oriented Architecture / Microservices
Keen attention to detail
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Education and Experience Qualifications :
BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Two or more years of experience or knowledge with web programming languages
Healthcare and / or insurance industry experience preferred
Strong troubleshooting skills and creative problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail and a proactive, self-starting approach to work
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in computer and internet usage
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to foster teamwork
Working Conditions :
Will work in high volume work environment that may require overtime as necessary
May sit for long periods of time
Primarily works inside throughout the year, but some travel to client locations may be required
Typing and reading on a computer
Communicating in person, through e-mail, telephone, and written correspondence
Standing, stooping, pushing, reaching and pulling may be required
