This is a temp to hire opportunity with a great company that offers room for growth and advancement. The role involves working 8 hour shifts ( 7am -3pm Mon-Fri) likely with overtime. Shipping and Receiving Clerk Responsibilities
Safely operating forklifts to handle, move, and organize recyclable materials.
Responsible for managing the flow of incoming and outgoing shipments in a warehouse, including tasks like unloading deliveries, verifying items against purchase orders, packing and labeling outgoing orders, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely delivery of goods
Processing returns
Managing customer inquiries regarding shipments
Updating shipping and receiving logs
Conducting cycle counts to verify stock levels
Identifying and managing low stock items
Maintaining accurate inventory records
Required skills for a shipping and receiving clerk :
Attention to detail : Accurately verifying product quantities and identifying discrepancies
Physical ability : Lifting and moving heavy packages
Organization skills : Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
Basic computer skills : Using warehouse management systems to track inventory and process orders
Communication skills : Interacting with vendors, carriers, and internal departments
