JOB TITLE: CIRCA SPORTS KENTUCKY VENUE MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: SPORTSBOOK
STATUS: FULL TIME
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
JOB SUMMARY:
Work closely with the Director of Operations at Circa Resort & Casino and the Food and Beverage department at Kentucky Downs to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Sportsbook venue at The Mint. Act as customer service lead within the department, interacting with guests on the floor on a frequent basis to ensure exceptional customer service levels. Work as a liaison between Circa Sports Kentucky and The Mint to ensure the Venue Operations run smoothly. Lead in Venue seating for guests with reservations and yield pricing of seating according to business levels. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures within the Sportsbook Department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting the Company Service Standards at all times
Work with Kentucky Downs Beverage Department and Circa Resort & Casino Director of Operations to create the Sportsbook menu for reserved seats
Oversee the day-to-day booking and reservation process through the UrVenue platform
Lead the Venue Hostesses in seating guests with reservations
Field walk-up bookings and actively yield pricing based on demand
Check in with guests in the Sportsbook to ensure they are satisfied with their service and experience
Work with the Director of Operations to stay up to date on all current sporting events to ensure the schedule and pricing are adequately represented for peak events
Exemplify a positive and professional attitude when interacting with guests and team members
Demonstrate knowledge in sports betting terminology to provide guests with accurate information
All other essential job functions as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in both written and verbal form
Must have a full understanding of all wagers offered on betting board with ability to explain to customers as needed
Excellent customer service skills
Understand and comply with all company, departmental and Gaming Control Board rules and regulations, policies and procedures
Knowledge of the sports betting industry
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and guests
Flexibility on work hours including weekends and holidays
Must be able to maintain Gaming work card
Must be at least 21 years of age
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one (1) year previous Sportsbook and/or Host experience preferred
Experience working in a food and beverage environment
High School graduate or equivalent
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
Work is typically in an area which may be noisy and may contain secondhand smoke.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time throughout the shift.
