POSITION: Host Person
REPORTS TO: Restaurant Manager
DEPARTMENT: Downtown Restaurant Group
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides outstanding service to guests when seating them in the restaurant according to designated rotation plans as well as providing fast, friendly and efficient service to guests when accommodating and creating reservations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have at least one-year previous experience as a Host Person in a high-volume restaurant.
Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.
Must possess excellent customer relations, organizational and communication skills.
Must have demonstrated ability to verbally communicate in the English language.
Must have knowledge of property to respond to frequently asked questions.
Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
Must present a well-groomed appearance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Greets customers and seats them in the restaurant in accordance with the rotation procedures.
Handles and solves any concerns and questions from customers.
Acknowledges, greets and converses in English with customers who approach the Cashier area of restaurant.
Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND, ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to work and continuously maneuver in and around tables when leading customers to be seated.
Must be able to respond calmly and handle many customer demands in a fast pace environment.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English clearly.
