Key Responsibilities
- Flash Analysis: Conduct short circuit calculations, evaluate medium and low-voltage coordination, and optimize protective relay and breaker settings. Lead the company's flash studies and ensure compliance with NFPA, IEEE 1584, and other industry standards. Perform on-site data collection when required.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to electrical safety codes and standards (NFPA 70 & 70E, IEEE 1584) to ensure the safe operation of electrical systems in client projects.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare engineering documents including drawings, sketches, instructions, calculations, and analysis, following industry standards, codes, and regulations. Ensure proper documentation for project compliance and client review.
- Power System Studies: Perform detailed power system studies using electrical modeling software (SKM Power Tools, ETAP, Easy Power, etc.) to support various engineering needs.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with project managers, clients, and other engineering teams to provide technical support and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in power system studies using electrical modeling software (e.g., SKM Power Tools, ETAP, Easy Power).
- Solid understanding of electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems, including experience with NFPA 70 & 70E, and IEEE 1584.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to travel 10%-20% of the time to client sites as required by project needs, with travel duration varying from a few days to a few weeks.
Salary : $70,000 - $110,000
