Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for new designs.
  • Create detailed specifications and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives.
  • Utilize CAD software to create and modify designs.
  • Perform testing and validation of prototypes.
  • Analyze and resolve design issues and defects.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Oversee the manufacturing process of mechanical components.
  • Participate in project management activities and timeline estimations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Monitor project progress and report on key metrics.
  • Evaluate materials and processes for cost-effective solutions.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for products and processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of engineering changes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical design or related area.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Experience in product development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of material properties and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, ISO, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Proficient in using simulation and analysis tools.
  • Understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics principles.
  • Attention to detail and quality assurance mindset.
