Overview

The Senior Project Manager - Financial Systems is a vital role within the organization, responsible for overseeing the successful implementation and management of financial system projects. This individual will play a crucial role in the alignment of financial applications with business strategies while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. As a senior leader, the project manager will not only coordinate and lead cross-functional teams but will also serve as a liaison between technical teams and executive management. The position requires a deep understanding of financial systems, project management methodologies, and excellent communication skills to drive project success and meet organizational objectives. Moreover, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and incorporating best practices into project execution. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and implementation of financial systems projects from inception to completion.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Create detailed project plans and schedules, outlining key milestones and deliverables.
• Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and update stakeholders on progress and challenges.
• Identify risks and issues proactively and develop mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise project management methodologies and standards.
• Monitor project performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Evaluate project outcomes and implement lessons learned into future projects.
• Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users.
• Coordinate with IT and external vendors to ensure system integration and compatibility.
• Support the change management process to ensure smooth transitions for stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement within project teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or relevant certification (PMP, PgMP) is highly preferred.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in project management, specifically in financial systems.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale financial system implementations.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and systems, including ERP solutions.
• Expertise in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
• Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team motivation and performance.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
