Overview

The Service / Test Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of equipment and systems within the organization. This position involves diagnosing issues, implementing solutions, and performing rigorous testing procedures. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on various testing equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions using appropriate testing tools and techniques.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Document all service and repair activities accurately and comprehensively.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify product issues and implement solutions.
  • Assist with the design and improvement of testing processes and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest technologies and methodologies.
  • Test new equipment and systems for performance and reliability.
  • Prepare detailed reports on equipment status and recommended repairs.
  • Inventory and order parts and supplies as needed for repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during all testing and maintenance operations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding service undertaken and troubleshooting process.
  • Monitor and report on equipment performance trends for proactive maintenance.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to track maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support or service role.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic and testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance measures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or overtime as necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
  • Certifications in relevant technical fields are a plus.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
