Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Ensure patient safety by screening for contraindications and preparing patients for procedures.
- Operate MRI equipment with precision to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and imaging results.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and improve imaging techniques.
- Uphold aseptic techniques and adhere to safety standards in the imaging department.
- Educate patients about the MRI process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and practices.
Experience
Candidates should possess:
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to radiology and imaging procedures.
- Experience with various medical imaging modalities, particularly MRI and CT scanning.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately interpret images and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
- Familiarity with sonography principles is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols in a clinical setting.
License and Requirements:
- ARRT, ARMRIT, BLS Certifications
- Must have 2 years of experience
- EPIC experience
13 week contract, M-Th- 3X12 hours or 4X10 hours
Hourly- $60-63 depending on experience.
