It is a county owned health care facility that is governed by five Board of Trustees members. Trustees shall be appointed by the County Commissioners with staggered terms of six years. The Board of Trustees along with the input from the executive leadership team establish and maintain the mission, vision, values, commitments, and strategic direction of the hospital.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- The Chief Quality Officer provides clinical and administrative leadership and direction to the quality division and other assigned departments.
- The CQO will have direct oversight for the areas of Quality Management, Safety, Corporate Compliance, Risk Management, Utilization Management, Social Services, Infection Control, Accreditation, Behavioral Health and Employee Health Programs.
- The position is responsible for facilitating development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of services within the assigned areas through collaboration with the clinical / medical staff, nursing leadership and other managers.
- The CQO’s success is measured by the achievement of organizational wide quality goals and adherence to policies, procedures, and standards set forth by state, federal, and hospital regulatory agencies.
- The CQO is accountable for establishing operational mechanisms and quality leadership structures which facilitate safe and quality patient care and working environment.
- All duties are performed consistent with our standards and behaviors.
