Job Summary
The Veterinarian Farm Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the health and welfare of animals at our 40-acre Antibody Production Facility. This position oversees animal studies, farm operations, and personnel management to deliver high-quality products and services to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct oversight of up to 10 personnel on the production facility.
- Ensure compliance with animal welfare standards and applicable regulations.
- Provide veterinary oversight for all clinical treatments and programs.
- Act as a voting member on the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).
- Assist in preparing investigation reports for the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) program.
Qualifications
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinarian Medicine Doctor (VMD) degree is required.
- Pennsylvania veterinary license is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years in a veterinary practice, with at least 5 years of experience working with laboratory animals, is necessary.
- Farm animal husbandry experience is highly desirable.
