Job Description:
- Provides analysis, programming, and testing to support the maintenance of departmental proprietary and process control computer operations and the management and analysis of department databases.
- Analyzes, evaluates, and reviews objective of department programs and the information requirements; designs, creates, and maintains computer database to gather data and effectively classify information.
- Maintains, manages, and analyzes computer operating software, hardware, and network configuration within a department or division; identifies weaknesses and devises solutions to solve configuration problems.
- Evaluates and plans software and hardware purchases to maintain and improve the system; prepares cost analyses of maintenance and enhancement of existing programs and hardware.
- Writes, develops, and implements programs to extract information from the databases; develops formats and reports of information obtained to communicate status of programs and information.
- Trains users, technicians, and less experienced personnel in using the system; assigns and oversees work of technicians monitoring field sensors.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- Typically has 6 or more years of relevant technical or business work experience.
