Job Description
This position is seeking a skilled and experienced general surgeon to provide coverage in a hospital setting.
- Hospital rounding and call responsibilities are expected of the ideal candidate.
- The physician will be required to perform various procedures, including gallbladder surgery, hernia repairs, colorectal surgery, endocrine surgery, and laparoscopic procedures.
- Experience with endoscopy and vascular repair is also necessary.
- On average, 10-20 calls per night are expected, mostly for pediatric patients.
Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility in general surgery is required.
- An active Arkansas medical license is necessary.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications are also required.
- Malpractice insurance with a clean record is preferred.
