The position involves providing coverage for inpatient consults, including urinary retention, complicated foley catheter placement, UTIs, gross hematuria, and kidney stones. The most common cases are obstructing stones and clot evacuations. Patient encounters per shift include 2-5 consults a day and 1-2 OR cases a day.
