Position Summary
We are seeking a Manager, Business Analysis to join Recurrent Energy’s team. This role will be responsible for conducting financial analysis for our North American portfolio, supporting and influencing regional strategy and securing equity investment approvals.
This high-visibility position requires cross-functional collaboration across the organization. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, intellectually curious, and an excellent communicator with strong process management skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial modeling and profitability analysis, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
- Work with Development Leadership to prepare internal Investment Proposals, Memorandums, and project and regional presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee analyst modeling activities, ensuring high-quality outputs. Provide guidance on model inputs, structure, and optimizations.
- Ensure financial models accurately reflect transaction structures, market conditions, and commercial optimizations.
- Analyze the causal relationships between inputs and outputs in models, identifying profitability improvements at multiple levels.
- Evaluate various financing structures to determine the most effective capital structure recommendations for projects.
- Provide leadership and coaching to analysts, fostering professional growth and analytical excellence.
- Support the Origination and Structuring team in pricing and securing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) accurately.
- Collaborate with the Project Finance team to ensure development-stage models reflect debt and tax equity market conditions.
- Work with our M&A Team to evaluate potential opportunistic project acquisitions or divestitures.
- Manage cross-functional collaboration between finance, development, power marketing, legal, and engineering teams.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Highly proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
- Must demonstrate strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including comfort with interacting with internal management and transaction counterparties.
- Expertise in modeling tax equity including capital accounts, depreciation, buyouts, etc.
- Solid understanding of corporate finance and economic concepts.
- Working understanding of power and project finance markets.
- Resourceful and comfortable working in an unstructured, entrepreneurial environment; this is a transaction-based environment where requirements and deadlines are dictated by deal flow.
- Strong quantitative aptitude with an extremely high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex quantitative analysis into written, deliverable insights.
- Highly driven, proactive, and hardworking. Self-starter that takes pride in optimizing financial models and overall work products.
- Collaborative team player with experience working in cross-functional environments.

Requirements
- 5-8 years of relevant experience required.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Master´s Degree, CFA or other quantitative certifications are a plus.
- A financial model test will be required during the interview process.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required.
