Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, managing inventory, and operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and cherry pickers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Load and unload materials from trucks or containers
- Move materials to designated storage areas using forklifts or other equipment
- Perform inventory management tasks, including counting and organizing stock
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track and locate materials
- Operate cherry pickers or other equipment to retrieve items from high shelves
- Ensure materials are properly labeled and stored in accordance with company procedures
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet production goals
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and RF scanners
- Familiarity with operating forklifts, cherry pickers, and other warehouse equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks as required
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting is a plus
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to material handling and safety protocols
