Recycling Services of Florida is currently seeking for a Junior Mechanic to join our team. In this position you will be responsible to assist the mechanic(s) with any appropriate duties. Duties include helping the mechanics on performing repairs on heavy equipment, general labor within the shop and field, assisting and handling tools, etc.

Duties include helping the mechanics on performing repairs on heavy equipment, general labor within the shop and field, assisting and handling tools, etc.
- Assists the Mechanic in daily work
- Cleans, washes, fuels, and performs preventative maintenance on trucks, machines and equipment
- Picks up ordered parts from local vendors
- Relocates equipment for repairs
- Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and working areas
- Oils and greases machines
- Cleans work area, tools, and equipment
- Performs other routine duties and tasks as assigned by the mechanic
- May assist with other parts of the shop operation
- Able to weld and fabricate
Qualifications
- Must have Driver’s License - Class A a plus
- Forklift experience
- Mechanical skills
- Be safety oriented
- Have a positive attitude and attention to detail
- Have previous experience in a labor intense position
- Be able to lift 50 pounds continuously throughout the day
- Be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Be able to work weekend and OT as needed
- Laborer: 3 years (Required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Punctual, responsible
- Valid Driver’s License - Class A a plus
- Previous mechanic experience (2 years)
- Adaptive learner with a positive attitude
- Own tools
- Mechanical Knowledge on heavy duty trucks and equipment
