The field of User Experience is perhaps the most distilled in all of IT with regards to customer and user focus.
- Lead UX research, usability testing, and human-centered design activities tailored to Intelligence Community needs.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and interactive models to refine user interactions.
- Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with mission-critical objectives.
- Apply UX/UI best practices to improve accessibility, workflow efficiency, and data visualization for intelligence applications.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, user surveys, and heuristic evaluations to gather requirements.
- Implement design-thinking methodologies to enhance the user journey within secure environments.
- Work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of designs into functional applications.
- Maintain awareness of emerging UX trends and technologies to drive innovation within the Intelligence Community.
What you bring to the table:
- Active TS/SCI clearance w/ Polygraph required.
- Bachelor’s in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), UX Design, Cognitive Science, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, usability research, and human-centered design.
- Expertise in UX tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Axure, Sketch, or similar.
- Proficiency in front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex user experience challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a highly secure and classified environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present UX findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), or other government agencies.
- Knowledge of Section 508 compliance and accessibility standards.
- Design and/or Development experience with Agile methodologies and UX integration into software development lifecycles.
- Experience with data visualization and dashboard design for intelligence applications.
- Disclosed pay ranges are a general guideline, and are not a guarantee of a final salary or compensation. Our approach in determining final salaries takes into consideration a number of factors such as education, certifications, total years of relevant professional experience, actual level of expertise, and the responsibilities of the role itself.
- Based on the outlined roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is: $150,000 - $220,000.
