Job Overview
At Red Arrow Maintenance, we are seeking a dedicated Custodial/Aircraft Maintenance Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient work environment for aircraft maintenance operations. You will be responsible for performing essential custodial duties to maintain cleanliness across our facilities, as well as assisting with aircraft maintenance tasks under the guidance of experienced technicians.
This position provides a unique opportunity to learn about aircraft maintenance while contributing to the daily upkeep of the facility. You will work closely with the maintenance team, supporting routine inspections, cleaning, and minor mechanical tasks, while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.
Duties
Custodial Duties:
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of all maintenance areas, including hangars, offices, restrooms, and workspaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors and surfaces, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and ensure proper disposal.
- Stock and maintain custodial supplies as needed.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in high-traffic areas, such as entryways and walkways.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors or management.
Aircraft Maintenance Assistant Duties:
- Assist with routine aircraft inspections, cleaning, and maintenance tasks as directed by senior maintenance staff.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on aircraft under supervision, such as cleaning aircraft exteriors, windows, and interiors.
- Fuel and tow aircraft as needed.
- Help with the inspection of parts, tools, and equipment to ensure they are ready for use.
- Assist in inventory management, tracking parts, and ordering supplies when necessary.
- Ensure maintenance logs and records are updated in compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist with handling and organizing tools and equipment in the maintenance shop.
- Help troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and provide hands-on support to the maintenance team.
Qualification
- High School diploma or equivalent; any technical training or certification related to aircraft maintenance is a plus.
- Prior experience in custodial work or maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of aircraft maintenance or mechanical systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
