Summary

The Bakery Team Member will produce donuts and other baked goods. Bakery Team Member will be train on and gain experience in the following areas :

  • Mixing dough
  • Dividing dough
  • Operating sheeters
  • Operating proof box
  • Frying donuts
  • Baking products
  • Finishing Products

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Production

Will be trained on the donut production process, including : dough mixing, proofing, makeup, frying, glazing, filling, and topping.

  • Advancement opportunity
  • Strictly follow standards for quality
  • Will become capable of scaling and mixing of ingredients, formula calculation and adjustments, dough mixing and makeup, makeup, proofing and baking of all products.
  • Control bakery waste and labor efficiency
  • Understand the importance of team effort and efficiency to maintain a low labor cost
  • Support other members of the bakery production team
  • Sanitation

  • In depth understanding of all sanitation procedures
  • Ensure all personnel are trained on cleaning procedures for all areas of the facility
  • Maintain the documentation of each days cleaning activity
  • Adhere to quality plant sanitation
  • Safety

  • Ensure safety procedures are followed
  • Respond to emergency situations in accordance with procedures
  • Display working knowledge of federal food codes
  • Responsible for operating within food cost goals

    Education and Experience

    Some related experience or education preferred.

    Valid driver's license and be insurable

    Language Skills

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to compose and proof materials. Ability to effectively present information to management.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.). Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. May stand for long period of time, generally an 8 hour shift. Occasionally, deadlines will require a 10 hour shift.
