Join the dedicated team at Red Baron Transportation as a Local Driver in our Calhoun, GA location. We are seeking committed, experienced, and dedicated Truck Drivers for our local delivery routes. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a semi-truck, transporting raw materials from our warehouse to local customer destinations. This position is primarily drop and hook, ensuring the timely and secure delivery of goods while upholding our standard of service excellence.
Key Responsibilities

• Safely and securely operate a Class A CDL truck (tractor-trailer combinations) to deliver goods over local routes, adhering to designated schedules and following company dispatch instructions.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle to identify and report any mechanical issues.
• Securely drop and hook trailers using appropriate methods to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork related to deliveries, including hours worked, mileage, stops, and inspections.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding deliveries.
• Navigate using maps, GPS systems, and company routing guides to ensure efficient travel.
• Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, federal hours-of-service limitations, and company safety protocols.
• Conduct preventative maintenance checks on the vehicle throughout the trip.
• Manage travel expenses and maintain records of fuel purchases, tolls, and other road costs.

Qualification Standards

• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Class A driving or related roles.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Clean MVR and background, valid Medical Card.
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Own steel-toed shoes and gloves.

• $19.00 per hour

Job Requirements:
Wage Range: 19.00 - 19.00 per hour
General Description of Benefits: Hourly Pay: $19.00 per hour.
