As a CDL Yard Spotter at Red Baron Transportation, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient flow and storage of goods within our logistics hub. This position emphasizes safety and efficiency, and we seek professionals committed to upholding high standards in the logistics field.
Responsibilities

• Move trailers within the yard to designated spots for loading and unloading.
• Ensure trailers are securely chocked and locked.
• Perform pre- and post-movement inspections on trailers and yard trucks.
• Keep accurate records of trailer locations and movements.
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams for trailer movement.
• Help maintain yard organization and cleanliness.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the Yard Manager.
• Comply with company policies, including those related to Conduct, Drug & Alcohol, EO, Sexual Harassment, and the no-smoking policy.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a yard management or trailer spotting role (preferred but not required).
• Ability to operate yard trucks and related equipment safely (training provided).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.

Benefits and Compensation

• Hourly Pay: $18.00 per hour.
• Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and ancillary benefits (available after 90 days).

Schedule

• Rotating 36/48 schedule from 6 PM to 6AM.
